Pittsburgh, PA (September 13, 2013) – The Omni William Penn, Pittsburgh’s landmark downtown hotel will premier ‘The Thin Man’ Comes to Pittsburgh’ for Light Up Night weekend 2013. The show is an origin-al adaptation of the 1934 film ‘The Thin Man’ set in Pittsburgh and presented as a live radio performance and dinner package for hotel guests and downtown visitors.

When husband and wife sleuths Nick and Nora Charles find themselves in the 'Burgh for the holidays, they must sort through lowlifes and high-flyers to find out who's naughty and nice as murder and mayhem mingle along the 'Mon.

Cost: $50, includes 3 course dinner in the Terrace Room, followed by the live radio performance in the Three Rivers Room and an intermission cocktail in the hotels’ Speakeasy Social Lounge. A limited number of individual tickets are available for the show only.
The 1934 film starred Myrna Loy and Pittsburgh native William Powell. The orginal adaptation hosted by the Omni William Penn Hotels is by local writer and presenter Chuck Lanigan. It features regional talent and a plethora of 'Burgh references. The performance will include live period music in the Terrace Room beforehand and outside the Speakeasy at intermission. The Omni William Penn offers a unique ambiance and historical legacy for staging the show. These include the first live orchestra broadcasts in the 1920s and broadcasts of the Count Basie and Lawrence Welk orchestras in the 1930s. The Speakeasy dates to Prohibition.
