The upscale restaurant also prides itself on its work with local farmers and purveyors. As one of the largest farm-to-market restaurant concepts in the U.S., the restaurant puts an emphasis on utilizing the freshest local ingredients, creating flavorful food in a casual atmosphere. Additionally, the restaurant’s rustic interior features repurposed materials – including its red brick walls as well as garage door-style doors and wood details.
“Texas Spice was built with a lower impact and is operating in an energy and water-efficient manner,” says Michael Oshman, GRA Founder and CEO. “We applaud Texas Spice for the true accomplishments they have achieved in opening a successful business with a more positive environmental impact.”
“We’re honored to receive this recognition from the Green Restaurant Association,” said Jason Weaver, executive chef at Texas Spice. “While we strive to maintain this certification, we’ll also continue to provide a high quality farm-to-market dining experience for our guests and patrons.”
