The District Holiday Boat Parade

December 7, 2024

Every year, a stunning fleet of boats sails along the Potomac River from Alexandria, Va., to The Wharf. The parade is free to watch, and visitors can enjoy a variety of holiday festivities beforehand, such as sampling winter drinks, meeting Santa, and decorating ornaments. Prizes will be given for the most beautiful boats, which set off at 6 p.m. The evening will culminate in fireworks at 8 p.m., followed by live music until 9 p.m.
