For over a century, our beloved retreat on Asheville’s Sunset Mountain has welcomed guests with warm hospitality and timeless charm. We are pleased to share that as of November 15, 2024, we have fully reopened our doors, once again inviting day and overnight guests to experience the magic of The Omni Grove Park Inn & Spa.

All three wings of our resort are open, offering comfortable stays paired with mountain views, farm-to-table dining that celebrates the region’s flavors, unique shopping experiences for all ages, and the serene escape of our subterranean Spa. Enjoy a round of golf on our picturesque Donald Ross-designed course and a visit to our Sports Complex, which offers complimentary fitness classes for overnight guests.

Gingerbread Trail of Giving

As Asheville continues its journey of recovery and more travelers return to the region, our historic resort is dedicated to uplifting the community by sharing the magic of gingerbread. While our traditional National Gingerbread House display will be on pause this year, the spirit of the season remains strong. From November 23 to January 5, a select number of gingerbread houses will be showcased at local businesses and here at the resort, keeping the tradition alive in a new way.

Cherished Holiday Memories

From November 15 to January 5, the hotel will be aglow with twinkling lights, beautifully decorated Christmas trees, and the irresistible aroma of hot chocolate and gingerbread cookies. The spirit of the season will fill every corner, creating the perfect backdrop for cherished holiday memories. As part of our annual tradition, the Holiday Parking Program will continue, with a portion of December's parking proceeds supporting Western North Carolina charities dedicated to relief efforts.

Flying In

Asheville Regional Airport is open and operating. It is 17 miles and 20 minutes away from the resort.

 

Driving In

The Omni Grove Park Inn & Spa sits on 150 acres about 2,000 feet above sea level in the Blue Ridge Mountains of western North Carolina. The luxury Asheville, North Carolina resort is just 1.5 miles from downtown.

Road Updates:

Most roads have reopened. The route from Eastern Tennessee may look different.

• I-40 is closed near the NC/TN border.
• I-26 has reopened one lane in both directions near the NC/TN border in Erwin, TN.
• Best alternate routes add 15–30 minutes of drive time.

 

Alternate Routes:

The impacts of Hurricane Helene have necessitated road closures near the North Carolina and Tennessee border. Travelers may use the following open routes into the Asheville area and Buncombe County:

  • From the northwest: I-81 to U.S. 70 to I-26
  • From the southwest: I-85 to U.S. 25 to I-26
  • From the south: Take U.S. 74 Alt to U.S. 74 East toward Shelby and connect with I-85 to Charlotte
