Omni Mount Washington Resort Kicks Off Ski Season at Bretton Woods
Historic Resort introduces new Nordic Director, programs and special winter packages
Bretton Woods, N.H. (Nov. 10, 2016) – The award-winning
Omni Mount Washington Resort invites winter sports enthusiasts to hit the slopes at
Bretton Woods and experience the thrill of New Hampshire’s largest ski area. Complemented by a
$1 million capital investment this year, Bretton Woods is ready to kick-off its
43rd ski season with a lineup of new talent, programs and special packages.
Recently named the best in the East for Snow Quality by SKI magazine, Bretton Woods’ commitment to superior snow quality continues with the addition of a
Pisten Bully PB400 Alpine Groomer and
PB100 Nordic Groomer, plus additional investment in snowmaking operations and efficiency. Bretton Woods is also pleased to begin the season by welcoming
Heikki Heliste as Nordic Director. An outdoor enthusiast, the Finland native will oversee operations and development of the impressive Bretton Woods Nordic Center - one of the largest groomed cross-country touring centers in New England.
New this season, guests can experience the latest winter sport trend -
Fat Biking. Equipped with tires of up to five-inches in width, Fat Bikes are perfect for mild winter weather and allows riders to seamlessly soar across the snow and pedal through the pristine winter landscape. Guests can ride their Fat Bikes through a selection of designated trails including the
Deception Trail System from the
Stone Pillar and Fabyan Fields Trail System from the
Bretton Woods Demo Center.
Available Mid-November – Mid-March daily from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Fat Bike rentals are available at Stone Pillar Lodge and start at $30 for resort guests and $40 for the general public based on two-hour rental.

Say Goodnight to Hunger campaign and its goal of providing over 18.2 million meals to local food banks across the United States. On opening day (to be determined), skiers and riders can hit the slopes for free with the donation of a non-perishable food item, while the Say Goodnight to Hunger Christmas tree, in partnership with Coca Cola Bottling Company of Northern New England, will be constructed out of more than 2,000 donated food items that will then be distributed to local food banks. Guests and the public are invited to join the campaign by leaving a non-perishable food donation under the 7 ½ foot tall tree Nov. 23 - Jan. 2, 2017.
