The “Polling for Cocktails” menu features seven handcrafted cocktails that are as unique and flavorful as the parties and candidates they represent. Will the Republicans, Democrats or the wildcard Independent win the race to Election Day victory? Your choice of beverage counts as your vote, so choose wisely! All votes will be tabulated by drink orders on property. Please drink wisely.
Trump-Tini
The Trump-tini is just like the Presidential candidate it represents. Crafted with Tito’s Handmade Vodka, it’s sweet from a sugared rim, tart from the lemon and cranberry juices, and has a sparkling finish from the Domaine Chandon Brut.
- 1.5 oz Titos
- .75 oz. Lemon Juice
- .75 Simple Syrup
- 1 oz. Cranberry Juice
- Splash of Domaine Chandon Brut
- Garnish: Sugar Rim
Combine all the ingredients (except the Sparkling Wine) in a Cocktail Shaker with ice and shake vigorously. Strain into a sugar-rimmed glass and top with Domaine Chandon Brut sparkling wine
The Right Manhattan
A refreshing mix of Maker’s 46, apricot preserves and lemon juice, muddled with mint and topped with club soda. The perfect cocktail for this Manhattan mogul!
- 2 oz. Maker’s 46
- 1 bar spoon Apricot Preserves
- 1 Lemon Wedge Squeezed
- 6 fresh mint leaves
- Club Soda
- Orange Bitters (optional at end)
- Garnish: Mint Sprig
Add 6 mint leaves to a mixing glass and muddle gently. Add bourbon, lemon juice and preserves with ice to the glass. Cap and Shake briefly. Pour contents into a glass, add crushed ice top with club soda and gently stir.
Ruby Red Pence
Cranberry juice and Deep Eddy Ruby Red Grapefruit Vodka give this cocktail its Republican red hue, while St. Germain Elderflower liqueur adds warming floral notes.
- 1 ½ oz Deep Eddy Ruby Red Grapefruit Vodka
- ½ oz St. Germain
- 1 ½ oz cranberry juice
- Garnish: orange twist
Shake with ice, strain into martini glass
True Blue Mule
Best representing the Democratic name, the True Blue Mule is made with Tito’s Handmade Vodka, ginger beer and Blueberry Reàl Infused Syrup to honor the Democratic color and a mule to reflect the iconic donkey symbol.
- 1.5 oz Tito’s Handmade Vodka
- .75 oz. Blueberry Reàl Infused Syrup
- 4 oz. Ginger Beer
- Half Lime
In a cocktail shaker, squeeze a half of a lime into a glass and drop lime into glass. Add the Reàl Infused Syrup and Tito’s Handmade Vodka. Top with ice and shake vigorously. Add the ginger beer and roll contents. Pour into a copper mug.
Hilla-Rita
The sweetness of orange juice, agave and DeKuyper Amaretto mixed with the kick of Tres Generaciones Reposado Tequila all wrapped up in one cocktail to embody this fierce Presidential candidate. A sugar and salt rim fully round out the cocktail’s power.
- 1 oz DeKuyper Amaretto
- 1.5 oz Tres Generaciones Reposado
- .5 oz Fresh Orange Juice
- 2 oz Fresh Lime Juice
- 1 oz Agave Nectar
- Garnish: half sugar & half salt rim, lime wedge
Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass. Top with ice and shake vigorously. Strain into a chilled glass filled with ice.
Sugar Kaine Smash
Strong yet subtle, this cocktail is made with Maker’s 46, fresh mint leaves, simple syrup and finished with club soda to add a little fizz – just as a VP does!
- 1.5 oz Maker’s 46
- Club Soda
- 6-8 Fresh Mint Leaves
- .5 oz Simple Syrup
- Garnish: Lime wedge squeezed and dropped, cherry on top
Muddle fresh mint leaves and simple syrup in a highball glass. Add ice to a glass, then Maker’s 46. Top with Club Soda.
POTUS Punch
The wildcard! Tito’s Handmade Vodka is mixed with grenadine, fresh orange and lemon juices and muddled with blackberries for a fresh taste.
- 2 oz Tito’s Handmade Vodka
- 1 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
- 1 oz Orange Juice
- 1 oz Grenadine
- .5 oz Simple Syrup
- 4 Fresh Blackberries
- Garnish: blackberry
Muddle berries, add ice, add remaining ingredients. Stir and pour over ice.
